The King’s School (Witney) invites applications for a Part-time Bursar. The role covers 32 hours per week, year-round, with potential for flexible working arrangements. You will manage day-to-day finances and work with staff, governors and suppliers to uphold financial governance.
Experience with cloud-based accounting software, MS Excel, budgeting and forecasting, and producing management accounts is preferred. Prior school finance experience is beneficial but not essential.
Post: Part-time Bursar 32 hours per week (52 weeks per year).

This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful Christian School staff team, where staff feel supported and valued, and where pupils achieve excellent results. The King’s School has operated for over 40 years providing high quality Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. Currently the roll is 209 pupils.
Initially working alongside our previous post-holder, we are looking for an experienced finance professional who demonstrates the confidence to take on the day-to-day financial management for the school. The successful candidate will preferably have experience of using cloud-based financial software, MS Office Excel, and be familiar with budgeting and forecasting, and preparation of management accounts. Ideally the successful candidate should have previous experience in a school environment but this is not essential.
The role will involve interactions with staff, parents, governing bodies and suppliers, therefore good interpersonal skills are essential.
This is a year-round position. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements regarding days and hours; however, some availability during school holidays is essential.
