Job summary

CV Screen Ltd is recruiting a part-time Bookkeeper for a well-established automotive business in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. You will work 3 or 4 days a week, 9:30am – 4:00pm, taking ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll on track, VAT returns, and year-end reporting.

The role offers a friendly team and realistic responsibility in a busy office. The ideal candidate has proven bookkeeping experience, hands-on use of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll, strong Excel skills, and a flexible,

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience and a solid grasp of bookkeeping principles.
• Hands-on use of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll, plus strong Excel skills.
• Experience with a dealer management system or in the automotive sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle bank reconciliations, customer receipts, sales invoicing and statements.
• Process purchase invoices, supplier payments and weekly payment runs.
• Run monthly payroll in Sage Payroll and manage pension contributions.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, plus annual P60s and P11Ds.
• Keep budget spreadsheets up to date and support month-end and year-end reporting.
