Confidential is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our Stamford-based client. You will maintain accurate financial records, manage ledgers, and support accounting tasks, with Sage 50 experience as an advantage.

Responsibilities include recording transactions, reconciling statements, VAT processing, payroll assistance, and assisting with month-end close. Flexible hours and a collaborative environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a small to medium organisation.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and external partners.
• Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Responsabilités

• Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software Sage 50.
• Maintain Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Nominal Ledger up to date.
• Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports.
• Apply and process VAT and produce quarterly VAT returns.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain organised financial records in compliance with policies.
• Credit control supervision.
