Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced Accounts & Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounts from start to finish in a full-time, office-based role.

You will handle payroll, PAYE, invoicing, ledgers and VAT submissions using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll, reporting to management. The role suits a confident, independent worker with strong organisational skills who can contribute to the business's long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience.
• Experience with payroll processing and HMRC submissions might be required.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day accounts.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and pension administration.
• Manage PAYE submissions and HMRC payments.
• Raise sales invoices and maintain the sales ledger.
• Manage purchase ledger activities.
• Credit control and chasing outstanding payments.
• Bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
