Job summary

Velindre University NHS Trust's Welsh Blood Service in Bangor is seeking a part-time Clinic Collection Assistant (Driver Grade Band 4). You will welcome donors, perform basic checks, assist with venepuncture under supervision, and drive to mobile and fixed sites.

You will join a caring multi‑skilled team committed to excellent donor care and safety. Travel across Wales is required; Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Full manual UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Category C1 and D1 licences or commitment to obtain within 6 months.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in a customer‑facing environment.
• Ability to work as part of a multi‑skilled team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of customer service and direct donor care.
• Venepuncture and basic clinical tasks training provided.
• Drive and load/unload mobile donation equipment.
• Work across multiple sites and travel as required.
