Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Transport Driver to move blood, products and equipment between sites and customers on a 24/7 roster. You will collect and deliver items, drive up to 7.5 tonnes, load/unload up to 20kg and use handheld devices to track work and records.

The role requires a valid UK B driving licence with six points or fewer, basic IT skills, and good local geographical knowledge. Training is provided for blue light deliveries; NHSBT offers enhanced unsocial hours pay and the

Responsibilities

• Collect, transport and deliver blood and equipment 24/7.
• Drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes in specified areas.
• Load/unload items up to 20kg.
• Use hand-held devices to track work and records.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
