Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a friendly Before & After School Club Staff Member to work with children in a village primary school near Loughborough. Hours are morning and afterschool, 7:30am-8:45am and 3:15pm-6:00pm, Monday to Friday, September start.

Role focuses on supervision, engaging activities, safeguarding, and smooth operations. DBS check required or willingness to obtain one; great for those seeking reliable part-time work around other commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Experience in school, nursery, childcare or youth work is beneficial.
• Positive, enthusiastic and caring approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage children in activities.
• Responsible and reliable safeguarding attitude.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS if not held.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children during before-school and after-school sessions.
• Providing a range of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Supporting play, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
• Ensuring children are safe, happy and well cared for at all times.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging peer interactions.
• Assisting with snacks and refreshments during the afterschool club.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
• Communicating with school staff and parents when appropriate.
• Following the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies.
