Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Breakfast Club and After School Club Manager in Rotherhithe, Southwark, London. The role runs from 7:45am to 9:00pm and 2:30pm to 6:00pm during term time, with a commitment to high-quality childcare and safe, engaging activities.

You will lead day-to-day management, supervise staff, coordinate planning, provide food and refreshments, maintain records, and ensure health and safety standards are met. Start date: 1st Sept 26, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience working with 3-11 year olds.
• Proven leadership and staff supervision experience.
• Excellent communication with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage budgets and administration.
• Current First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
• Provide comprehensive care for the children.
• Provide support and supervision to playworkers and volunteers.
• Set up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
• Provide food and refreshments and ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
• Administer first aid where necessary.
• Consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
• Hold staff meetings and conduct regular reviews and appraisal for staff.
• Administration and record keeping, including staff and child records, financial records, ordering and purchasing and working within an agreed budget.
• Develop and maintain good communication with all members of the community including parents/carers, children, Extended Services Manager, Headteacher and other organisations.
• Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
• Monitoring and maintain a health, safety and secure environment.
