Job summary

The Flour Pot Bakery in Worthing is seeking a passionate Barista/Front of House team member to join our growing team. You will provide outstanding customer service, craft high-quality coffee, and keep the shop welcoming for every guest.

You will work 3–4 shifts per week on early hours, with duties including beverage preparation, POS transactions, stock checks, and maintaining cleanliness. Training is provided, and a friendly, proactive attitude is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in barista or front-of-house preferred but training provided.
• Passion for coffee and baked goods and excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and make customers feel welcome.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee-based drinks.
• Operate espresso machines and coffee equipment precisely.
• Assist customers with menu choices and baked goods recommendations.
• Keep front-of-house areas clean and organized, including counters and tables.
• Process transactions using the POS system.
• Assist with stock management and product freshness.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
