Job summary

Scope Acton shop is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager on a fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months. The role is part-time, 28 hours per week, working alongside the Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly.

You will help increase sales, control costs, and motivate a diverse team of paid employees and volunteers. You will also support online selling by identifying suitable items and listing them for sale.

Qualifications

• Role requires retail or service-based leadership experience.
• Experience in a target-driven environment with sales goals.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment; a team player with strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the shop operations.
• Support, motivate, and involve a diverse team of paid employees and volunteers.
• Actively promote Scope and its services within the community.
• Drive sales and manage stock; support online selling by listing suitable items.
• Help the team deliver excellent customer service.
• Deputise for the shop manager in their absence.
