Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Clinical Teacher in Small Animal Cardiology to work at the Hospital for Small Animals on Easter Bush Campus, near Edinburgh. The role involves clinical teaching and contributing to a referral cardiology service within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have a veterinary degree with RCVS registration and postgraduate cardiology training, including echocardiography.

Qualifications

• Must hold a veterinary medicine degree and be registered with the RCVS at appointment.
• Postgraduate training in small animal cardiology including echocardiography and ECG interpretation.
• Experience as a primary clinician with first opinion cases and simple cardiology cases.
• English language certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical teaching to final year students during cardiology cases.
• Contribute to the development of the Cardiology Service within the Hospital for Small Animals.
• Assist in delivering a referral level small animal cardiology service during normal university hours.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team with other specialists.
