The University of Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse (Anaesthesia) to join the Small Animal Hospital team. The role focuses on referral anaesthesia, peri-anaesthetic care, patient monitoring, analgesia, and recovery nursing within a busy theatre/treatment area alongside clinical specialists.

Applicants should be passionate about anaesthesia; referral experience is desirable but training and development are provided. Weekend work is required as part of the rota.

Qualifications

• Referral or anaesthesia experience is desirable but not essential; training and mentorship are provided.
• This role is primarily anaesthesia-focused in a busy theatre/treatment area with specialist clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-anaesthetic care for a range of advanced cases.
• Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia and during recovery.
• Administer analgesia and manage post-operative care.
• Rotate through key hospital areas and participate in weekend nursing rota.
