Job summary

Cave Veterinary Specialists in Somerset, part of the Linnaeus Group, is seeking a part-time, post-residency clinician in anaesthesia and analgesia for a fixed-term equal family leave cover.

This 3‑day‑a‑week role includes a 1‑in‑4 out‑of‑hours rota. You will create tailored anaesthetic and analgesic plans, supervise RVNs during anaesthetics, perform anaesthesia for high‑risk ASA patients, and contribute to ongoing training and out‑of‑hours support.

Qualifications

• Experience with acupuncture is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary hospital are required.
• A proactive approach focused on animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Creating tailored anaesthetic and analgesic plans for hospitalised patients.
• Supervising RVNs monitoring anaesthetics.
• Performing anaesthesia for high-risk ASA patients.
• Out of hours support to other services.
