Job summary

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a part-time Rostering Coordinator based in Carlisle, within the Cumbria and Lancashire Area Rostering Team. The role focuses on allocating daily shifts for ambulances and rapid response vehicles, while handling overtime and absence coverage.

You will maintain staff hours, support continuity of rota coverage, and work with the leadership team to provide management information. A strong focus on flexibility and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of English & Mathematics GCSE at Grade C and above.
• Minimum of six months experience of working within administration in an operational environment.
• Current, full UK driving licence.
• Own car, or daily access to a car.
• Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Resource planning ambulances and rapid response vehicles by allocating daily shifts for operational staff.
• Facilitate short notice cover for absences using overtime and bank colleagues.
• Maintain and record staff hours/shifts on the rostering system including leave, sickness and training.
• Collaborate with sector administration and Senior Paramedic team to ensure cover for contingencies.
• Produce performance and management information for leadership.
