Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in Crawley, near London, seeks an Afternoon Tea Assistant to support daily tea service for residents, spa guests and visitors. The role is part-time, 30 hours per week, with shifts 11am–5.30pm, across weekends.

The duties cover setting up lounges, greeting guests, taking orders and serving food and drinks with care. Benefits include holidays rising with service, bank holidays, parking and uniform, plus various staff discounts across hotels, spas and dining

Qualifications

• 5 days, 6 hrs per day, 30 hrs per week, shift start time 11am – 5.30pm, including weekends
• Smart appearance, excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service
• Experience within a quality food service hotel/restaurant required

Responsibilities

• Preparing the lounges for service
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Taking guest orders
• Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages
• Completing satisfaction checks
• Resolving any service issues
• Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
• Resetting the lounges at the end of the shift ready for the next service
• Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before departing
