Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead is seeking a casual Housekeeping Assistant to support the busy team. You will clean and prepare guest bedrooms and bathrooms, with a focus on presentation for guest returns in the evening.

Shifts include 9am–3pm or 9am–5pm, 7/8 hours daily, with a daily bed linen change and service charges where applicable. Benefits include free parking and a uniform.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors to high standards.
• Change bed linen daily in all guest bedrooms.
• Ensure rooms are well presented and ready for guests' return in the evening.
• Assist during busy days and weekends as part of a small casual team.
• Support housekeeping operations and maintain a tidy hotel environment.

Up to £14.24 per hour including holiday payment. Age related pay applies to this role.

The Role

We are seeking a couple of casual employees to support our full-time team during busy days and weekends.

An energetic worker, with a good eye for detail to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness in guest bedrooms and bathrooms. Ensuring that all guest bedrooms are well presented ready for the guest return in the evening.

• Working 7/8 hrs per day, weekday and weekend shifts available
• Available shifts are 9am – 3pm or 9am – 5pm (30-minute break included)
• Changing bed linen daily in all guest bedrooms
• Cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors
• Ensuring all corridors are clean and tidy and any dirty linen is returned to the laundry

Join our Housekeeping team under the direction of our experienced Head Housekeeper, Inga Zarnowska. There is full time team of housekeeping assistants, linen porters and spa cleaners, as well as an inhouse maintenance team to support you.
