Job summary

The Perse School Cambridge is seeking an After School 'Owls' Assistant to join its Owls Club in Cambridge. The role runs term-time only, 3.15pm–5.30pm, five afternoons each week, caring for children aged 3–7 after the day’s lessons until collection.

Ideal candidates will build strong relationships with children, parents and staff, and work as part of the wider after-school team; some experience with young children is important, though not strictly essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential; however some experience with young children is important.

Responsibilities

• To work under the direction of the Deputy Head.
• To care for and supervise the children following the end of the day’s lessons until they are collected by their parents/carers.
• To develop excellent relationships with the children, parents and staff.
• To work as part of a wider after school team.
• To ensure that school processes and policies are adhered to at all times.
• To act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with children, staff and parents.
