Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting has secured a client seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their small on-site finance team in Truro. This part-time role (3 days ideal, with flexibility) reports to the Director and focuses on keeping the finance operations running smoothly across departments.

The role requires experience with monthly management accounts, AP/AR, VAT, and year-end procedures, along with strong Excel data manipulation and IT skills. AAT qualification or QBE are acceptable.

Qualifications

• Experience producing monthly management accounts and providing commentary.
• Strong grasp of accounts payable/receivable processes and supplier payments.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with digital accounting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and offer commentary to Director of Finance on changes.
• Lead responsibility for accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Manage supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Handle VAT reporting and assist in year-end procedures.

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a returning client, a successful and diverse entertainmentfocussed business that is well known for their staff retention.

The company seeks to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join their small, but mightyteam based onsite in Truro.The position is part time and permanent and whilst 3 days would be ideal, they can be flexible for the perfect person.

Reporting to a highly experienced Director, this will be a broad role ideally suited to a candidate who takes pride in the smooth running of a small finance team.

Keyresponsibilities will include:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and offer ongoing commentary to Director of Finance on changes and developments
• Assume lead responsibility for accounts payable and receivable functions
• Manage supplier payment runs
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT reporting
• Assist in year-end accounting preparation and procedures

For this role we seek an experienced candidate with a decent understand of Excel data manipulation. Candidates may be either part/fully AAT qualified or consider themselves to be QBE. Good all-round IT experience is essential, as well as strong aptitude in the use of digital accounting tools. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact across all departments of the business, so excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team will be important.
