Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant in Truro with a hybrid working model. The role supports a growing finance function within a manufacturing business, offering a 25-hour week and potential near-remote flexibility after training.

The successful candidate will handle banking admin, accounts payable and supplier queries, sales ledger duties, credit control, statements, reconciliations, and maintaining a bespoke accounting platform, working within a small, busy team.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Experience with sales ledger and credit control.
• Familiarity with online banking administration and reconciliation.
• AAT or qualified by experience is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Administration of the company’s online banking systems, adding and updated beneficiary details.
• All aspects of accounts payable and acting as an initial point of contact for supplier queries.
• Administration of the sales ledger function, raising invoices.
• Credit control.
• Producing statements.
• Reconciliation of transactions.
• Maintaining and updating the company’s bespoke digital accounting platform.
• Monitoring of finance email inbox.
• Assisting with ongoing accounting projects.

Part Time Accounts Assistant - Truro / Hybrid - £25-28,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively reengaged by a longstanding client, an innovative manufacturing business considered to be a leader in their field of expertise. The company seeks to recruit an Accounts Assistant to strengthen its growing finance function - a permanent role offering a flexible 25 hour working week. This employer also permits a (post-training) hybrid working arrangement for those that require, potentially offering almost completely remote working.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Administration of the company’s online banking systems, adding and updated beneficiary details
• All aspects or accounts payable and acting as an initial point of contact for supplier queries
• Administration of the sales ledger function, raiding invoices
• Credit control
• Producing statements
• Reconciliation of transactions
• Maintaining and updating the company’s bespoke digital accounting platform
• Monitoring of finance email inbox

We’re more focussed on relevant experience than qualification so welcome applications from those who are part/fully AAT or qualified by experience. The person-fit is almost as crucial as technical experience as the successful candidate will be working as part of a small, tenacious and busy team.
