Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. The role is a part-time position around 25 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time hours for the right candidate.

You will support a broad range of transactional finance duties, including ledgers, invoicing, reconciliations and month-end tasks, in a supportive team environment. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts or finance environment.
• Experience with transactional finance duties.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team.
• Flexible with part-time hours; open to full-time for the right fit.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales ledger transactions.
• Raise and process invoices and credit notes.
• Match, code and process invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash allocations.
• Process payments and receipts.
• Assist with credit control and chasing outstanding debt.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Assist with month-end processes.
• Handle finance queries from customers and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Provide general support to the wider finance team.
