Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is supporting a well-established Harrogate-based business in recruiting an Accounts Assistant focused on Purchase Ledger. The role offers development and progression within a busy finance team.

You will perform bank reconciliations, process purchase invoices, prepare statement runs, support month-end processes (accruals, prepayments, deferred income) and handle supplier queries. A hybrid working pattern with one day home working is available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within purchase ledger or a finance role.
• Well organised and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations.
• Processing purchase invoices, preparing statement runs and payroll schedules.
• Intercompany recharging and bank reconciliations.
• Support month end processes including accruals, prepayments and deferred income.
• Management of supplier queries over the phone.

Job Duties:

• Bank reconciliations
• Processing purchase invoices, preparing statement runs and preparation of payroll schedules
• Intercompany recharging and bank reconciliations
• Support month end processes inclusive of (accruals, prepayments and deferred income)
• Management of supplier queries over the phone
• Working closely with other members of the finance team
• Any additional ad hoc duties across the team

• Salary up to £32000
