Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants has a client in Ramsgate seeking a Part Time Accountant to join a small, friendly team. The role focuses on accounts preparation and servicing client needs, with hands-on work and direct client contact.

You’ll prepare draft accounts and support across day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate holds AAT Level 4, has practice experience, and can work independently with good attention to detail in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing accounts from a trial balance.
• Experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft statutory accounts from trial balances.
• Work with balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Maintain accurate working papers and client records.
• Respond to client queries by phone, email and in person.
• Support a portfolio of clients and senior staff as needed.
