TPF Recruitment supports a Kent-based chartered accountancy practice in Paddock Wood, seeking a Part Time Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced team.

The role concentrates on statutory accounts and corporate tax, with potential to assist with self‑assessment tax work and management accounts. Flexible hours and hybrid working are available, promoting a healthy work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Qualified by ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with 3–5 years’ experience in practice.
• Experience as Semi Senior or Senior Accountant in a practice; hands-on with accounts, tax and VAT.
• Open to part-time arrangement with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
• Manage client portfolio and client relations.
• Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
• Onboard new clients and assist partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation.

TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Paddock Wood, who are looking for a Part Time Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced team in a general practice capacity, primarily focused on statutory accounts and corporate tax returns, but there will be an opportunity to support with some self‑assessment tax work, and some more interesting management accounts work too, should you wish. Our client is willing to build the position around the candidate's experience and aspirations.

As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will report directly to the Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to multi‑million‑pound groups. You will be based in a beautiful office in a rural location in Paddock Wood and also have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. Qualifications

• Qualified, or studying ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience with at least 3‑5 years’ experience within practice.
• Have worked as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within a practice environment and have hands‑on experience of accounts, ideally management accounts, tax and VAT.

• £35,000 - £50,000, based on experience
• 3-4 days per week, or equivalent hours
