Job summary

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Tutor to work 1:1 with students who are not in school in the Halstead area. Part-time opportunities can take place during the school day or after school hours and weekends.

The role focuses on Maths, English and sometimes Science across all key stages, with students typically at lower levels. You should be flexible and have experience in education, capable of engaging SEN learners in a supportive, motivating way.

Qualifications

• Must have tutoring experience and provide your own lesson plans.
• Experience working with Students with SEMH would be advantageous.
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
• A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
• The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1:1 with students not in school in Halstead and surrounding area.
• Support core subjects Maths, English and sometimes Science across key stages.
• Sessions may take place in the student’s home or local library.
