Job summary

Nigel Wright Group is partnering with a large, multi-site manufacturing business to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant for a hybrid role with study support.

You will deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting, analyse labour costs, variances and production performance, and support budgeting and forecasts across sites.

You'll work closely with finance, operations and site management to challenge processes and drive continuous improvement, with hands-on operational exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge, investigate and ask questions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach and willingness to get involved operationally.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous.
• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA with study support available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting and analysis.
• Analyse labour costs, variances, yields and production performance.
• Produce overhead reporting and departmental cost analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including labour modelling.
• Investigate variances and identify root causes with operations.
• Review cost standards and operational performance metrics.
• Assist with capital expenditure analysis and investment appraisals.
• Partner with non-finance stakeholders across manufacturing and operations.
• Provide insight to support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Opportunity
Part Qualified Management Accountant - Hybrid Working - Study support available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a large, multi-site manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

This role sits at the heart of the operation, providing financial analysis and insight that directly influences business performance. Working closely with finance, operations and site management teams, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing processes and support key commercial decisions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys getting out into the business rather than sitting behind a spreadsheet all day. You'll be encouraged to ask questions, investigate variances and work closely with operational stakeholders to understand the drivers behind performance.

Duties
Key Responsibilities:

You will ideally have:

• Experience within manufacturing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential
