Job summary

ACCA Careers in Caerphilly is seeking a part-qualified accountant to support the Accounting & Finance team in the retail sector. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and help the business make informed decisions.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will gain exposure to management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, with opportunities to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified status in a recognised qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• Provide support during audits and implement recommendations.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and practices.
