Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Part Qualified Accountant for a permanent role in Caerphilly. You will support the Accounting & Finance team in the retail sector, maintaining financial records and assisting with reporting and decision-making.

Working closely with the Finance Director, the role covers management accounting, reporting, budgeting and process improvements, with exposure to month-end and year-end processes and audits.

Qualifications

Description

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the finance function and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This hands-on position offers involvement in management accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, sales ledger, credit control, stock management, forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns.

Profile

A successful Part Qualified Accountant should have:

• Part-qualified status in a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT).

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £33,500 to £37,500, dependent on the level of experience.
