Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant for a permanent role in Caerphilly within the retail sector. The candidate will maintain financial records, prepare reports and help the business make informed decisions.

You will work with the Finance Director on management accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements, with duties across audits and tax as needed.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified status in a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• Provide support during audits and implement any required recommendations.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and practices.
