Job summary

The One Group in Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Accountant to help with month-end, general ledger accounting and financial reporting. You will focus on GL postings, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting while pursuing CIMA/ACCA progression.

Hybrid working is offered, with about 50% office time. The role pays up to £35,000 and includes private medical and life insurance, plus up to 40 days holiday and ongoing study support to advance your qualification.

Qualifications

• Actively studying CIMA or ACCA and progressing well with studies.
• Experienced in an accounting role with exposure to general ledger and month-end processes.
• Comfortable posting journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Keen to develop accounting career and progress professionally.

Responsibilities

• Posting general ledger journals and supporting period-end close.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Fixed asset accounting.
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Collaborating with finance teams and the wider business to resolve queries.
