Salary: GBP 30,000 - GBP 38,000 depending on experience + Benefits

Type: Full-time, with flexible hours and some remote working

Location: Huddersfield

Due to expansion, our client is seeking a qualified senior accountant to join their growing and friendly team. The firm values staff well-being and customer service, and seeks someone who shares this outlook to grow and develop with the practice. Though small, the firm is innovative, fast-growing, and maintains a family feel. The successful candidate will be proactive with clients and capable of managing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax Returns
• Personal Tax Returns and Tax advice
• Providing strategic tax advice to clients
• Preparation of management accounts
• Answering client queries and conducting meetings
• Assisting junior team members
• Attending networking and other events
• Scheduling work for the team
• Managing own client portfolio

Attributes:

• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client confidence
• Experience with SAGE, XERO, and other accounting software
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines
• Practice experience required
• Enthusiasm for self-development and gaining diverse experience

Hours:

• 5 days per week
• 1 day remote work per week
• Flexible timing options available
