Buckland Architects in Baughurst, Hampshire, is looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant to join our home-office team. You will work with the Director and project teams from concept through planning, technical design and construction, gaining broad experience across the RIBA Plan of Work.
The successful candidate holds a recognised RIBA Part II qualification or equivalent, has strong design ability and Revit skills, and can manage their own workload.

Buckland Architects is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Part II Architectural Assistant to join our practice in Baughurst, Hampshire.
We are seeking someone with strong design ability, good technical knowledge and a genuine interest in creating thoughtful, well-crafted architecture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of projects and gain experience through multiple stages of the RIBA Plan of Work.
The role Working closely with the Director as well as the wider project teams, you will be involved in projects from concept design through planning, technical design and construction.
As a small practice, the position provides an opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for projects and gain broad experience rather than being limited to a single stage or package.
Experience of residential, heritage, rural or bespoke projects would be advantageous.
The role offers direct exposure to project delivery, clients, consultants, contractors and the practical and professional aspects of running architectural projects.
Due to the location of the office and the nature of architectural work, including site visits, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
Occasional working from home will be allowed by agreement.
Start Date & Working Hours The earliest start date for this role is 2nd November 2026, but exact date will be subject to agreement.
Working hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
