Job summary

Buckland Architects in Baughurst, Hampshire, is looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant to join our home-office team. You will work with the Director and project teams from concept through planning, technical design and construction, gaining broad experience across the RIBA Plan of Work.

The successful candidate holds a recognised RIBA Part II qualification or equivalent, has strong design ability and Revit skills, and can manage their own workload.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised RIBA Part II qualification or equivalent
• Demonstrates strong architectural and design ability
• Learns fast and takes initiative
• Experience using Revit at more than a beginner level
• Organised and comfortable managing own workload

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural models and drawings in Revit
• Prepare Planning Applications and Building Regulations Applications
• Produce high-quality drawings, details and presentation material
• Develop technical design and construction information
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities
• Attend design team, client and site meetings
• Undertake site visits and assist during construction
• Research materials, products and construction methods
• Support preparation of specifications and schedules
• Contribute to design culture and development of the practice
• Work outside, assisting with self-initiated projects
