Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer in Oxford. The role covers car parks across the city and involves 10am-6pm shifts with potential additional cover.

You will enforce penalties, check compliance, and deliver excellent customer service outdoors. The candidate should have a clean UK driving licence, customer-facing experience, good judgement, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• A full, valid and clean UK driving licence or European equivalent.
• Good judgement and the ability to justify decisions.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A good level of fitness; role involves regular walking.

Responsibilities

• Issuing parking penalties accurately and in line with procedures.
• Ensuring motorists comply with parking conditions and payment requirements.
• Providing high-standard customer service and handling difficult situations.
• Using ANPR and enforcement technology and adapting to new systems.
• Reporting equipment faults and health and safety issues.
• Assisting with minor maintenance and opening/closing car parks.
• Working flexibly across shifts to meet operational needs.
