Job summary

Brackenberry Limited is recruiting a Parking Design Engineer for a six-month contract with a strong possibility of extension. Based with the Local Authority in Bromley, you will help design and implement disabled parking bays and contribute to traffic schemes.

The role focuses on processing disabled parking bay applications through assessment, design, consultation and installation, while coordinating with residents and council officers. Strong IT skills and clear communication are essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise cases.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate records.
• Calm, customer-focused handling of queries and sensitive applications.
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and process applications for disabled parking bays through assessment and installation stages.
• Respond promptly to correspondence from residents, councillors and stakeholders.
• Prepare plans, schedules, consultation materials and letters for bays and schemes.
• Undertake parking investigations and assist in minor parking schemes.
• Support development and delivery of parking schemes and CPZ projects.
• Assist Traffic Engineering Team with data gathering and scheme administration.
