Job summary

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking a Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Officer to join its Parking Services team. You will use BI, data analysis and performance information to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and financial management of the Council’s parking and enforcement services.

You will analyse data from multiple systems, develop reports and dashboards, monitor KPIs and supplier performance, and provide insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in business intelligence, data analysis or performance analytics, with ability to turn complex information into clear insights.
• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and translate into actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports and data visualisations for operational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Monitoring KPIs, performance indicators or SLAs, and identifying trends or issues for improvement.
• Working with business systems to extract information and support reporting.
• Presenting analytical findings to a range of stakeholders, including committees.

Responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, manipulate and analyse data relating to parking, enforcement, traffic patterns and service performance.
• Extract and combine data from different systems and sources to meet reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs and data visualisations for stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for service improvement.
• Translate complex data into practical recommendations for different audiences.
• Present findings to managers, senior management and relevant committees.
• Monitor contractual performance indicators, KPIs and SLAs and highlight concerns.
• Support management of external suppliers and service providers.
• Work with legal and procurement on contractual requirements and reporting.
• Monitor parking-related revenue streams and financial reconciliation between systems.
• Develop self-service reporting tools, including Excel-based solutions.
• Provide guidance and training materials to help colleagues use data effectively.
