Job summary

The Parking Services Officer role is based in Hammersmith & Fulham, within the Parking Services team. You will investigate and process PCNs, assess challenges, and ensure compliance with statutory timescales while liaising with London Tribunals and other stakeholders.

Candidates should have strong Parking Services experience, knowledge of Traffic Management Act 2004, and be capable of handling PCN challenges and appeals, with excellent investigation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Parking Services, ideally in a local authority.
• Knowledge of Traffic Management Act 2004 and related legislation.
• Experience dealing with PCN challenges, representations and appeals.
• Experience with London Tribunals and parking adjudication is ideal.
• Strong investigation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and process PCN correspondence at all stages of the enforcement process.
• Assess challenges and representations and determine whether they should be accepted or rejected.
• Ensure PCNs are processed accurately and within relevant statutory timescales.
• Liaise with London Tribunals and determine which_cases should be contested at adjudication.
• Prepare comprehensive case files and attend hearings where required.
• Authorise parking bay suspensions and temporary parking waivers.
• Liaise with contractors, enforcement agents, internal teams and other stakeholders to resolve parking-related issues.
• Assist with PCN, Pay & Display and Resident Visitor Permit (RVP) reconciliations and refunds.
• Contribute to quality management and ensure work is completed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
• Support service improvement and the continuous development of the Parking Service.
• Provide wider support across Parking Services and undertake Customer Services Officer duties when required.
