Job summary

Solihull Council is seeking Parking Officers to join the Parking Service team. The role involves delivering parking and traffic management in a fair, efficient, and compliant manner, with opportunities for permanent and fixed-term contracts.

You will process PCN appeals, assist with permits, assess evidence, prepare Tribunal cases, and respond to residents and businesses by phone, email, and in person. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Process Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) appeals and representations.
• Support administration of parking permits and dispensations.
• Assess evidence and make fair, evidence-based decisions.
• Prepare cases for Traffic Penalty Tribunal and adjudication proceedings.
• Assist with parking income reconciliation and contract management.
• Respond to enquiries by telephone, email, in writing and in person.
