Parking Administration Officer

37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Permanent.

£26,847 - £29,542 per annum.

Our Parking Services Administration Team plays a key role in supporting services across eight councils, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn, develop new skills, and build a successful career in administration.

The Parking Administration Officer role is designed for an ambitious individual with a genuine desire to learn and develop. Through structured training and hands-on experience, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to support a busy and important public service.

While this is a position to learn and develop in, it is a responsible role requiring a professional approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high standards of service in all areas.

You will be responsible for reviewing and making decisions on parking-related correspondence in the appeals process, registering unpaid Penalty Charge Notices as debts through the Traffic Enforcement Centre, and ensuring all statutory processes are carried out accurately and within strict deadlines.

We are looking for someone who can analyse information, review evidence objectively and make consistent decisions based on legislation, policy and guidance.

Previous experience in parking services, civil enforcement, debt recovery, legal administration, appeals handling, local government or a similar regulatory environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

If you are looking for a role that combines customer service, investigation and decision‑making, we would like to hear from you.

About You
  • Have strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret evidence and legislation.
  • Be confident using IT systems and can quickly learn new software and processes.
  • Have the ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Have a keen eye for detail ensuring accuracy and consistency across a range of administrative, communication and customer service tasks.
  • Remain calm, organised and professional when working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
  • Be a clear and confident communicator, both over the telephone and in writing.
  • Effectively plan, organise and prioritise their workload.
