Job summary

Wildwood Trust seeks a hands-on Ranger to maintain, repair, and build park infrastructure, ensuring safety and quality. You will respond to urgent defects, support site projects, and work to keep buildings, grounds and utilities in good condition. The role requires practical trade skills and a proactive safety mindset.

Working hours are around 37.5 per week, with potential for out-of-hours work during emergencies. A full UK driving licence and experience in similar environments are preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Carpentry, plumbing, fencing, fabrication, chainsaw use, MEWP, tractor/telehandler operation or electrical testing experience.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake tasks to maintain, repair, and build park infrastructure with quality workmanship.
• Ensure safety, efficiency and quality, minimising impact on visitors and animals.
• Inspect, identify defects, report hazards and perform permanent repairs promptly.
