You will be an advocate for great countryside management and engage with consultants, stakeholders, staff and volunteers to ensure effective communication of the management of the parkland and highlight impact of operational activities and risk management.
Salary: £22,089 pro rata (FTE £27,612 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours / working pattern: Part-time, 30 hours per week. Hours for this role are 8am - 4pm on a 7-day rota which includes 1 weekend every 5 weeks.

We are a small ranger team but part of a wider team supporting each other with day to day tasks. You will be working outdoors on a daily basis in woodland, meadow and parkland with staff and volunteers. You will be supported to develop in career and train on equipment such as chainsaws and tractors.
You’ll be helping to protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery. You’ll pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love this area as much as you do. Whenever and wherever you come across people, you’ll take the time to talk to them and answer their questions, rather than rushing away to the next task.
You’ll make sure that the conservation work and outdoor experiences on the land in your care are of the highest standard. You’ll build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the Trust and letting people know about the work you and the team are doing.
