Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Ranger to maintain habitats and public green space. You will join a team covering our site 37 hours per week with a rotating 4-week shift pattern across Monday to Sunday. The role emphasises strong customer service and helpful on-site support for visitors.

You will use power tools such as strimmers and chainsaws, manage volunteers, and conduct safety inspections. A full UK driving license and flexibility to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and visitor management.
• Experience in ground maintenance and conservation.
• Ability to lead volunteering programs and supervise teams.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites.
• H&S inspections awareness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out practical grounds maintenance and conservation tasks.
• Welcome visitors and provide on-site assistance.
• Conduct H&S inspections across site locations.
• Recruit, plan, and supervise volunteering activity.
• Develop conservation initiatives and liaise with partners.
