Job summary

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster is seeking a part-time kitchen assistant in London, working 9 hours per week at 4 Thirleby Road, Edgware. The role is a 3-month fixed term with potential to extend and pays £14.80 per hour. You will prepare meals, ensure hygiene, and support the dining service in a faith-based setting.

The position emphasises reliability, confidentiality and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Closing date details apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with care for confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare one main course and dessert per working day.
• Cook an additional meal to be served the following day.
• Consult with Parish Priest regarding meal preferences.
• Set the dining table with appropriate cutlery.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure proper food storage and monitor expiry dates.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure crockery and utensils are cleaned after use.
