Job summary

East Midlands Councils is seeking an experienced Parenting Assessor to undertake high-quality parenting assessments in line with the East Midlands Parenting Assessment Framework Guidance. You will work with children, young people, and their families to promote positive outcomes.

The role involves engaging with parents and carers, identifying risks, and producing timely records and reports for multi-agency and legal settings. Travel between service locations is required.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing children and families in safeguarding settings.
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and share information appropriately.
• Proven ability to produce clear analytical records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families' needs.
• Work directly with parents and carers and engage reluctant families.
• Produce accurate, timely records and analytical reports for meetings and courts where applicable.
• Identify and manage risk with a safeguarding focus.
