Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide, part of the Royal Mail Group, is hiring for a parcel handler in Fareham. The role involves unloading/loading parcels, sorting for routes, and ensuring a friendly, dependable service to customers.

The position is permanent, with 15.25 hours weekly and overtime opportunities. Starting salary is £25,201 per year, rising to £27,561 after 6 months, with potential to reach £30,000 per year including overtime.

Qualifications

Hours: 15 .25 [[zworkinghours and days]], with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is Friday 11pm - 7:45am and Monday 1am - 7:30am

After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour

Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)

• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

What you’ll be doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What we’re looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
