Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide, part of Royal Mail Group, Plymouth depot, is recruiting a warehouse operative to unload, load and sort parcels, preparing trailers for drivers and ensuring accurate delivery routes.

You will provide a friendly, dependable service for all parcels, with overtime opportunities. A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) and the ability to lift up to 30kg are required, along with strong attention to detail.

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:-o Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)o Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

What you’ll be doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service — whether it’s a birthday gift or important business mail

What we’re looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who’s friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
