Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide Perth is seeking a dedicated operative to load and unload parcels, sort them for delivery routes, and prepare trailers for drivers. This role forms part of Royal Mail Group’s Parcelforce Worldwide team in Perth, with overtime options and a structured starting schedule.

Starting salary is £25,201 per year with progression to £27,561 after six months and an overtime-capable potential up to £30,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) with no more than 6 points.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg; customer-focused.

Hours: 30 [[zworkinghours and days]], with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is Tuesday to Saturday 04:00 - 10:00.
Location: Parcelforce Worldwide Perth LD, Inveralmond Ind Est Perth PH1 3UG

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:
  • Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
  • Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

What you'll be doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What we're looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
