Job summary

Lewtas Logistics is hiring a Delivery Driver in the Liverpool area. You will operate a long wheelbase van, delivering 90-120 stops to various locations, starting at 7am each weekday.

You will load/unload goods, perform pre-trip inspections, and comply with safety and traffic rules while maintaining high customer service standards. The role requires a UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months, with strict points limits and a focus on safe, efficient deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK/EU manual driving licence with 12+ months tenure.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR/DG/MS/IN/TT endorsements.
• Experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial for loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Start at 7am with approx. 1 hour parcel sort (Mon-Fri).

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate different driving conditions. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Licence/Certification:

UK/EU driving licence (held for a minimum of 12 months) (required)

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

• 7am start – shift starts with an approximate 1 hour parcel sort. (Monday-Friday)
• Safely operate a long wheel base delivery van to deliver between 90-120 stops.
• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks. (Please note: shipments may be bulky & heavy).
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly in relation to loading and unloading procedures.
• Must have held full UK/EU manual driving licence for over 12 months with no more than 6 points (No DR, DG, MS, IN or TT related endorsements).
