Job summary

Lewtas Logistics is seeking a Delivery Driver in Liverpool to transport goods safely and efficiently. You will start with an approximate 1-hour parcel sort at 8am and operate a long wheel base van to complete 40–60 stops, loading and unloading items with careful handling.

You will perform pre-trip checks and comply with traffic laws and company policies. The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to handle heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• Full UK/EU manual driving licence held for over 12 months with ≤6 points.
• Able to lift and move bulky and heavy items.
• Excellent customer communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Start 8am; 1 hour parcel sort (Monday-Saturday).
• Deliver to 40–60 stops using a long wheel base delivery van.
• Load and unload items; ensure proper handling of heavy items.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections.

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate different driving conditions. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• 8am start – shift starts with an approximate 1 hour parcel sort. (Monday-Saturday)
• Safely operate a long wheel base delivery van to deliver between 40-60 stops.
• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks. (Please note: shipments may be bulky & heavy).
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly in relation to loading and unloading procedures.
• Must have held full UK/EU manual driving licence for over 12 months with no more than 6 points (No DR, DG, MS, IN or TT related endorsements).
