Opportunity with a Financial Planning Firm in Buckinghamshire

We are partnering with a boutique, financial planning firm located in central Buckinghamshire. As a growing and dynamic practice, they are seeking an ambitious individual with knowledge of financial planning. The ideal candidate is currently a paraplanner but wants to progress into a Junior Adviser position.

Our client is looking for someone to paraplanner for two advisors, while learning the business and processes. During this time, you will meet clients, gradually take on advisory responsibilities, and be entrusted with some client accounts to develop your skills.

This well-established, independent, and directly authorized firm is committed to nurturing talent from within. They offer a development pathway, training, client-facing experience, and mentoring. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career as a Financial Advisor. There is also potential for succession planning, as one of the partners plans to retire in a few years and intends to transfer the business and clients to the adviser team.

Key Duties:
  1. Onboarding new clients and supporting in servicing existing clients
  2. Assisting a financial advisor during client meetings
  3. Sending out letters of authority
  4. Liaising with product providers
  5. Collaborating closely with the administrator
  6. Performing general administration duties as needed

The ideal candidate will have a background in paraplanning or junior advising, hold the DipFA or equivalent Level 4 qualification, and be willing to undertake a dual paraplanning/junior adviser role until fully integrated into the firm. The candidate should aspire to achieve chartered status and be eager to join a supportive and busy team.
