Job summary

RGH-Global | People Services is expanding its paraplanning team as part of a growing independent financial planning group with strong backing. You will work alongside advisers to develop and deliver high-quality financial planning solutions and take ownership of a varied caseload.

You'll gain exposure to investments, pensions, tax planning, trusts and protection, and have opportunities for development towards Chartered status.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a paraplanner in financial advice or wealth management.
• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or nearing completion.
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, taxation and protection.
• Experience producing high-quality, compliant suitability reports.
• Good understanding of FCA requirements and financial planning standards.
• Strong analytical and research skills for complex scenarios.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed technical research and analysis to formulate financial planning recommendations.
• Prepare high-quality suitability reports, recommendation letters and supporting documentation.
• Work across a broad range of planning areas, including investments, pensions, inheritance tax planning, trusts and protection.
• Prepare cashflow models and financial planning forecasts.
• Provide technical guidance and research support to advisers and senior stakeholders.
• Manage and progress complex financial planning cases from research through to report production.
• Work closely with advisers, administrators and compliance teams to ensure a smooth and high-quality advice process.
• Contribute ideas to improve paraplanning processes, systems and ways of working.
• Support wider business change and the implementation of best practice.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with advisers to develop and deliver high-quality financial planning solutions. You'll take ownership of a varied caseload, carrying out detailed research and analysis before translating your findings into clear, accurate and compliant client recommendations.

You'll have exposure to a broad range of financial planning areas, including investments, pensions, tax planning, trusts and protection, giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge.

You'll also have the chance to get involved beyond day-to-day paraplanning, contributing to the development of processes, improving efficiency and helping shape the way the wider paraplanning function operates as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Support wider business change and the implementation of best practice
• Work with Compliance to maintain strong file quality and regulatory standards
• Keep up to date with changes to legislation, regulation and financial planning practices
• Support senior colleagues and wider business initiatives where required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, detail-focused and genuinely interested in financial planning.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within financial advice or wealth management
• A Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent, or be close to completing it
• Strong knowledge across pensions, investments, taxation and protection
• Experience producing high-quality, compliant suitability reports
• A good understanding of FCA requirements and financial planning standards
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to work through complex planning scenarios
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• A proactive approach and an interest in improving processes and ways of working
